Where can I find out more?
This document is intended as a listing of suppliers, rather than a technical reference on the technologies themselves. More in-depth understanding of how each technology functions can be found in UNEP’s recent compendium on waste treatment technologies.
More information on healthcare waste management can also be found on HCWH’s website.
The UNDP/GEF/WHO/HCWH Global Healthcare Waste Project website includes many useful resources including specifications for vacuum autoclaves and guidance on challenge testing for autolaves.
